Like Playing Monopoly

Imagine playing monopoly with your siblings as children and your dad was the banker. He decided to favor your youngest sister, his pet, by granting her as much loans as she needed. So she could buy any property she landed on, without having to accumulate her “pass go” money like everyone else.

Wouldn’t she win?

That’s how things are with our banking system. Only the privileged and well-connected gets to borrow from banks and the really well-connected gets huge sums to finance privatized implementations of highways, ports and IPP’s.

Is it any wonder that the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer?
